Dear Friends, December 2020
A few days ago, we received this letter.
Dear Director of Starfish Ministries,
Today I am very happy to greet you in the precious name of our Savior Jesus Christ and take this noble opportunity to send you my lines in order to thank you. I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for this school year you have paid for me. Despite all the hardships we been going through this year, you were never discouraged to donate all these moneys to pay my tuition fees. Thank you, Thank you so much. I hope that such a letter will have your full attention. Please accept, dear sponsors, the tribute of my deep gratitude.
Sheelove CHARLES
Sheelove is an eighteen-year-old student in our Tricotte High School. She is in the 11th grade and is a very good student. Our Haitian director, Daniel, chose Sheelove to receive a Starfish Ministries scholarship in order for her to continue her high school education. When asked about her goals in life Sheelove responded, “I would like to become in life a gynecologist and a good laboratory specialist. The reason is because there is not even a mobile clinic in the area of Belair. Women and young girls are suffering with several kind of infections. My dream is to be able to help them by teaching them how to live in a better condition of hygienics and a healthy way. I pray that we would be able to have mobile clinic in Belair’s area – then my dream becomes true and I can help the people with good care.”
Sheelove is one of 160 students in the Tricotte High School. Several of them wouldn’t be able to continue with their education if not for your faithful support. Those of you who send more than your sponsorship amount and other general giving is often used to support students like Sheelove. This letter from her is for you – thank you very much!
And then this letter came a couple days later:
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Member and Manager of Starfish Ministries,
I greet you with a heart filled with joy and gratitude toward each of you. I am writing this letter to you to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I do not have the right and sufficient words to show you how grateful I am to each person of Starfish Ministries for bringing me help for my apprenticeship studies in telecommunications. Thanks to God I reached the end of my studies after all the difficulties. I thank in a special way Mr. Daniel for accepting me in the program and Mr. Lucner who always gave me the money at the right time and always with great pleasure. May God abundantly bless everyone responsible for this program. Thank you very much.

Both of these letters came unsolicited and really show a genuine gratefulness for the help they have received. Thank you for making this possible through your donations! Also the response to the Christmas Giving List has been very positive and we appreciate you so much!
