I received a call from Doug early this morning — he was in a Walmart in Orlando and wanted to know how much money we had for him to purchase medical supplies.  I told him to buy whatever he could and we would handle the money.  He has hooked up with the doctors he is traveling with and they said that medical supplies are really needed in Haiti.  So Doug cleaned off the Walmart shelves and filled several suitcases.  With his private business jet accomadations he can take a lot of luggage.

They have now received word that they will not be able to land in PAP so they will be flying into Cap Haitain in the northern part of Haiti.  The UN will be providing transportation for them into PAP directly to Pastor Diogene.

The doctors Doug is traveling with are Christians.  They also were praying for direction and God has provided Doug, who knows his way around Haiti.  Doug along with Diogene will be introducing this doctor team to Dr Thursday who we have used for our medical care.  He has a clinic in PAP and a fairly modern surgical center.  We are so thankful for this new connection that God has provided today.

I prayed Psalm 41: 1-2 for Doug this morning. “How blessed is he who considers the helpless; The Lord will deliver him in the day of trouble.  The Lord will protect him, and keep him alive, and he will be blessed upon the earth.”

Thank you for your prayers,

Bernie, Sheryl & Philip
